EQUS ACADEMY: short films of our own making

EQUS REINVESTS A PART OF ITS PROFITS INTO ITS OWN ACADEMY WHICH AIMS TO GIVE NEW FILMMAKERS A CHANCE AND TO PRESERVE THE ART OF THE SHORT FILM.

EQUS Talent Academy is created to produce short fiction film productions to give new talent a chance and to preserve the art of the short film. The principles of the Academy are originality, creativity and passion. At the Academy productions we always work with a mix of experienced and less experienced filmmakers. This way we hope to create a nice cross-pollination between the worlds of experienced filmmakers and the up-and coming filmmakers. At the same time we are a breeding ground for new talent.

EQUS makes 2 to 3 short fiction films per year. Anyone can submit a script for filming. The script is assessed by our script committee for artistic value and production feasibility. If it is decided to film a script, EQUS will commit itself to funding and will supervise the production process. The commitment of the initiator is indispensable for the success of the production. The film is distributed through the many film festivals worldwide.
